Final day in Derby. Sort of.
I moved out last month, but today was when I did the final tidying and stuff…I’m writing about this because it’s one of the best days I’ve had in a very long time, and I never expected it to be as good as it was. Started off with an excellent sausage roll, then attended to some business, then tidied, left the house for the last time ever, went to uni, saw loads of...

Food
Today I’m trying this new thing where I only eat at mealtimes. In retrospect this was a bad plan to instigate when there is my grandfather’s double chocolate cake in the house.

My Dream Last Night, Or: Why I now Hate Taylor...
It started, as all dreams do, somewhere in the middle. I was in the queue for something outside a building, when all of a sudden, I’m talking to Taylor Swift. She’s pretty nice, we chat etc. Then, around the corner of the building, I notice that Jason Segal and Jonah Hill (in a very nice suit) have just come out of a doorway. I get excited, and really want to go and talk to them, but...

An ode to Tumblr people I like
For a while now I’ve wanted to celebrate the people I follow who either talk to me, like a lot of my posts, are interesting to follow or who I think everyone else should follow if they don’t already. Of course, with 71 followers, I doubt my opinions are held in high regard by many people, but it’s important to share nice things about people, and the blogs they maintain. In the...

Jobs Part Deux
So I’m applying for more jobs, that actually sound like they’d be brilliant, but the application forms are killing me. It’s taking all of my energy to not just write “seriously guys, I’m really smart and I love books and stuff. Hell, I even understand the Dewey Decimal system and I LIKE keeping things neat so hire me for crying out loud PLEASE GOD HIRE ME”.

THRONES THRONES THR-THR-THRONES THRONES
OK, I’ve finally finished both seasons of Game of Tits Thrones, and it’s amazing. Might just be the greatest TV show I’ve ever seen. Some issues with I won’t talk about here, but there are so many positives! Things of a vaguely spoilerific nature after the jump… [[MORE]] I adore very few characters; namely Jon Snow (who I like far too much, it’s really rather...

Fambam facts
1) I’m directly related to Gary Cooper, so immediate awesome. 2) My great-granddad and his family lived on a moat. 3) I have Caribbean roots, and yet am whiter than sour cream. 4) My great great great etc. grandfather is Lancelot Capability Brown, a landscape architect who designed gardens for a stupid amount of English stately homes (seriously). This is a personal favourite of mine...

Jobs
So, I’m looking for a job, and although I am tempted by some of the wackier suggestions (prison nurse anyone?), one thing really stood out for me. The job is for a social media consultant, and actually looks really interesting, right up until I saw this in the “You must have this to apply” section:  “a 2:1 or above obtained from a leading university” Now, I entirely...

Uni
Email came today saying they are finally fixing the lifts in E block, so there isn’t crazy congestion EVERY morning in the tiny corridor. This would be great if I hadn’t already left, having suffered three years of terrible congestion, barely getting to lectures on time and having a half floor system so you’d still have to run up a couple of floors after you got the lift up so...

Childhood
When I was a child, I used to be able to fast forward through the advisory notice on VHS tapes and make it play just as the woman says “thanks for listening”. I would do it every time I watched a film, and always got really annoyed if I pressed play too early or too late, but every time I got it right it would always be funny, because obviously I hadn’t been listening (hardy...

Polo not YOLO
For the record, I did not say that phrase. A douchebag (who was in a group of douchebags) said this to me and my friends. They said this directly after insulting where we were from, mocking us for not knowing very much about polo and directly before spraying us (and themselves) with tonic water. So yes, they were pricks, but I thought it was an amusing phrase nonetheless. Aside from that incident...

ZE POLO
So tomoz I’m being lame/awesome and going to the Jack Wills Polo. Cancelled out the poshness by buying tickets to see Grizzly Bear with Helen and George though. I think they’re good tickets, the site is useless. Even if they’re not, the music will be awesome enough. Anyone else heading to the polo? Anyone going to perform a rain dance to ruin the day like the last time I went? ...

Responses
First of all, really appreciate the amount of response, gives me a lot to think about. Personally quite liked that no one mentioned a show I’ve seen a lot of (although I’ve seen episodes of Avatar and Sopranos), and everyone mentioned something I’ve occasionally thought about watching properly. Shall queue up and delve into each one and see what comes out on top :D

Ola dear followers?
There are now 61 of you, so maybe you can help me out. I’m half way through Mad Men, just started Supernatural, and moving on to Game of Tits Thrones later this afternoon. Are there any other shows I should hop onto? I need things that will take up all my time, preferably make me cry and/or want to ship unlikely combinations.

My father said he thinks I should write a novel, apparently I’d be good at it. The only problem is that aside from my hilarious ironic pirate porn story I have no ideas. So, dear Tumblr, fancy offering me some suggestions?

COLDPLAY
Shit was magical. Rita Ora opened, with a very decent set, obviously doing Hot Right Now and RIP (both were admirable), proving she actually has a good set of lungs. Caitlin kept saying how hot she was in person as well, which made it fun. Captain of all my musician ladyboners Robyn came on next, and was “intense” according to Caitlin and Phelps, but I nearly weed myself with joy....
